AI Security & Governance
Approved AI only, with access to only what it needs
Your staff are already using AI. The real question is whether it's AI you've approved, and what company data they're handing over to it.
The risks
One directory alone, There's An AI For That, now lists more than 55,000 AI tools, from chatbots and writing assistants to meeting note-takers and browser extensions, with dozens more added every day. Most are free, take seconds to sign up to and never go near your IT team.
When staff paste customer details, contracts or financial figures into an unapproved tool, that information leaves your control. It may be stored, reviewed or used to train someone else's AI, and you have no contract, no audit trail and no way of getting it back.
Even approved AI needs guardrails. AI assistants and agents built into everyday business software can often see whatever the person using them can see, so overshared folders and loose permissions quickly turn into a data leak.
The answer isn't to ban AI. It's to choose a business-grade platform with clear terms on how your data is handled, make it the only AI your team uses for work, and give it access to only what it needs.
How we secure it
We start by finding out which AI tools are already being used across your business, then help you choose an approved platform and put a clear AI policy in place. We back that policy up with technical controls that block unapproved AI services, stop staff connecting outside AI apps to company accounts, and prevent sensitive information being shared with AI tools it should never reach.
For the AI you do approve, we apply least privilege. We tidy up overshared files and folders, limit each AI tool or agent to only the systems and data it needs for its task, and log and review what it accesses. Staff get practical training too, so everyone knows which AI is allowed and why.
